Writing

Today’s writing motivation in a few concise words (for those having a bad day)

You’ve got to understand that you must start small. The profits of your labour will not germinate quickly or easily.

You’ve got to have patience.

You’ve got to write in some form every week, even if you think you can’t. You have to.

You’ve got to improve your craft, because writing is hard. It is.

But above all, you’ve got to want to improve.

You can always improve.

You can and you must.

Do you want this career? Do you truly?

Then you can do this. You cannot depend on your ‘muse’ or hope your story will fix itself.

Now keep going, finish your novel. Get past that ‘block’.

Because you can.
